Beekeeping classes
Beekeeping is a lifelong learning experience. From time to time, we present classes, starting from the basics in the beginning of the year, and advancing as both the calendar and experience level of the club increases. Here are our current (2018) offerings:
New Membership
$30.00

New family membership. This is for the year.
Beekeeping 102 (member price)
$20.00

This is the next steps in beekeeping class. Things you should know to continue keeping bees. Keeping bees for a year, maybe even surviving the winter, will help in wrapping your head around the various concepts to be discussed. Saturday, April 1st, 2017 from 9 am 4 pm in Bldg. C, 2850 Faircourt Lane, Placerville. Please come early to sign in as we hope to start class on time. Note this is 'member price'. Not a member? Join! This price is also a per-seat ticket. This class will not include the details for installing bee package into the hive; this will be covered when bee packages are picked up.
Beekeeping 101 [beginnings] (member price)
$20.00

This is the program for beginning beekeepers. Note this is the MEMBER PRICE, so make sure you have joined (or renewed!). This class will introduce the beginning prospective beekeeper to the equipment and practices needed to become a successful keeper of bees. An introduction to bee biology (not too much!), different practices and hive types will all be covered. This is a very interactive class, so come filled with questions!
Beekeeping 101 (NON-MEMBER)

OK, why would you NOT want to join? Well, I guess you have a reason - so we provide this option.
Beekeeping 102 (NON-MEMBER)
